First and foremost, I learned that jeans are magical. Even though they come in all shapes and sizes for a very valid reason, it is possible for four girls who's body types do not even remotely match, to fit into the same pair. And on the same topic of jeans, I learned that they are inexpensive enough to ship internationally on a weekly basis - even for college freshmen with no job.
And speaking of international travel, I learned that it's a lot easier than one would think to travel from Istanbul to Alabama - at 18, without telling your parents (when you're the only child of a single dad), because when you realize that grandma really does love you - it's important to let her know that you love her too.
I learned that little sisters are generally whores. Prove me wrong - I dare you.
I learned that NYU does not have a health center, and apparently they do not teach in their college orientation, as I learned in my college orientation, that every college campus has a health clinic and generally speaking, when the condom breaks, you can visit there within 72 hours to get the morning after pill. Now, I understand that some people may not believe in the use of the morning after pill - but it's unrealistic to not even mention it as an option, to be so naive as to think that just because the condom broke you're pregnant. Bringing me to another thing I learned - if the condom breaks, you're pregnant until proven otherwise. Way to think positive there Tibby.
Suspecting a hint of sarcasm... yeah...
Overall though, the movie was cute. I mean it was exactly what I'd expected, which was ridiculous plot lines and lots of super cute hair styles. And even though the guy who played lead actor to America Ferrars - Carmen was probably the most awkward actor I've ever seen I was entertained for the 2 hours that the movie ran.
I also got to obssess over Alexis Bledel's hair and how I really want to dye my hair that color. And that made me happy.
So Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, even though you were ridiculously unrealistic in most all aspects, you still get a two thumbs up from me.
And in completely unrelated news, my Olympic boyfriend Jonathan Horton is amazing and I love him. Congratulations on the Bronze team medal!
