And While Obsessing Over Shoes I Can't Afford

I bought ones I could...

The Uggs I got in black and as soon as the DHL man decides to bring them by I will be a very happy girl.

My New Obsession In Life

Is to own a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.

I know that they are ridiculously expensive. I know that spending that much money on shoes in just completely unnecessary but this is my new goal. I am going to Bergdorf's in June specifically for a shoe sale and I want to buy a pair of Louboutin's.

I have previously posted about my favorites but these are also high up on the list:

Beautiful red sole shoes how I love you...

they're pretty much amazing and they deserve to win.

In completely unrelated news... my Internet connection was down for a couple of days and I started working (off line of course) on the beginning of my ultimate West Wing post but then I started actually watching the West Wing and I didn't wind up getting much done. Then I promised myself I'd do some over the weekend and I happened to get three new Gilmore Girls DVD's from netflix and any plans I had went out the window. I mean Rory leaving Yale! and Lorelai proposing to Luke! and Rory and Lorelai not speaking! Wow... I'm very happy that I watch that show three DVD's at a time and didn't really get into it when it was on TV.

And in other unrelated new I need to take a moment to fucking GUSH about how ROB THOMAS IS WRITING THE MUCH ANTICIPATED 90210 SPIN OFF. Most people are excited about the actual spin-off and yes, I'm just as excited as the next person but what excites me more than ANYTHING is the fact that its being written by ROB THOMAS! AH! I'd watch someone reading the phone book if Rob Thomas wrote it so that pretty much makes my day. Now all I want is for some of my Veronica favorites to show up on the new 90210 like... I dunno JASON DOHRING. Oh how I miss him so. Especially since the strike and I couldn't even watch him on Moonlight, and you know its love when you catch yourself not only watching but looking forward to the weekly episodes of Moonlight (so much so that I think I may have even watched an entire episode that Jason Dohring wasn't in because I was actually into the storyline and that scares me... you have no idea how much). But anyway, yeah... I wouldn't mind seeing him. I'd even settle for Percy Daggs or Francis Capra actually.

Okay, I'm gonna stop now. Almost time to go home yay!

This Post Is Probably Going To Get Me Into Trouble

So one of my favorite shows currently on television is "Real Time with Bill Mahr." I'm a pretty much an uber lefty democrat so there's not really much of a surprise there and I'm currently sitting at my desk at work (on lunch - i just wanted to point that out) and I'm watching the episode of Real Time from a couple of weeks ago hot off the heels of Michelle Obama's comments on being proud of America. First of all I just wanted to say, for the record that I think that the flack that she's gotten for this statement is just so unbelievable because the only thing that anyone can read into it was that she was unpatriotic. I also want to go on the record as saying that sometimes I am not proud to be an American. That statement may get me into a lot of trouble but I don't really care. I hate that patriotism doesn't mean what it should anymore. That if you don't support the president and every decision that he's made you're not patriotic. Well, if you take a look at where America was 7 years ago and you take a look at where we are now and you can honestly tell me that you think we're doing better, than you are highly delusional. I am NOT proud of the war in Iraq. I am NOT proud of the way this nation looks at the entire Muslim religion just because of the way some crazy extremists acted 7 years ago. I am NOT ALWAYS PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. But I love my country. And I love the freedom that I have because I live here. And I love that there are millions of people ready to fight for that freedom in my honor. I am patriotic. I love to see the American Flag. I have, at times, been known to tear up at "God Bless America." I do LOVE my country. But that doesn't always mean that I agree with all of the decisions that "the country" makes, which also doesn't mean that I am always going to be proud of those decisions. We have a pretty ugly past, and I hate how we're all so quick to forget that while it is wonderful to live here, sometimes we have done things that are not really actions to be proud of. I hope that instead of berating her, more people would have applauded Michelle Obama for her comments on finally being proud to be an American. At least she was being honest and really... what more can you ask for in the world today?

Words Cannot Even Describe

how much I want these Christian Louboutin shoes. In June I am going to NYC and visiting Bergdorf's where they will be on sale (i hope, i hope, i hope) and not cost me a fortune only a mini fortune. I cannot wait! That will be all. I'm off to bed now, I really do need to stop looking at incredibly expensive shoes.
