Celebrities Who I Think Should Date

So I'm so hysterically opinionated when it comes to my love for celebrities I have decided that I needed to post about celebrities who I think should date.

First and foremost - Kristen Bell and Zachary Quinto . I don't know what it
is about these two, but I have such high hopes for them. It's a weird sort of chemistry, since I'm pretty sure I've never seen them on screen together, just in random appearances. They say they've known each other for like 10 years or something crazy like that and since Kristen broke up with her live in boyfriends I just... I dunno. Zachary plays like the creepiest character on TV right now and I just have this soft spot for him that I cannot explain. They just seem like adorable people and adorable people should be together.

Next up, Lauren Graham and Matthew Perry. I think that this coupling has actually happened/is currently happening so I'm pretty sure it isn't much of a stretch. I just think that these are two people who are just perfect for each other. As a big Matthew Perry fan I want to see something good happen in his life and I think that Lauren Graham might be it. Haha, listen to me talk about these people like I know them, like they're my friends.

And then there's John and Jenna. I don't think that it's much of a stretch of the imagination for this one but really, I know I am not the only person who thought to themselves, "wow, I feel bad for Jenna Fischer, she seems like a great person and now look shes going through a divorce and those are always tough, no matter how easy they might actually be, but look now she can date John Krasinski!" Horrible, I know! But really, they're like perfect. And I mean if she doesn't want him, I'll take him. Jim and Pam 4Ever.

And last, but never least, Justin and Britney. I really, truly, honestly, sincerely believe he could make her good again. They were like the modern day Cinderella and her Handsom Prince. They were perfect and now the world is a sad, sad place. It's sad to say, but I'd really be a happy girl if these two came to their senses and got back together - for good.

So Much To Blog About, So Little Time

I still want Rami to win project runway.

But i'd be okay with Jillian too.

The Getting To Know Me Blog

So I've decided to take a step away from the usual completely ridiculous and frivolous things that I blog about to post a little bit of a blog about me.

I'm kinda strange. I mean you probably already get that from the blogs I've posted, but really it goes beyond that. Today I'm going to talk about my freakish little obsession with TV and Movies.

I'm the kinda girl who's favorite category at the Oscars is best screenplay. I have favorite screen writers - Aaron Sorkin, Rob Thomas, Cameron Crowe and Bob Guza respectively. I'm a sucker for what I like to call movie moments - my favorite being when the banner reading "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" falls as the T-Rex roars at the end of "Jurassic Park." I tear up every time I see the end of the opening number - "The Circle of Life" of the Lion King movie right before the title smashes onto the screen. I see movies particularly because there are certain actors I will follow to the ends of the earth (Bradley Whitford and Jonathan Jackson just to name two).

I like things that are smart, but funny. The Office for instance, is the best thing on television right now and probably the best thing to happen to TV in a long while. I will ALWAYS think that The West Wing was the best TV show of all time. And there is no other character entrance that can beat that of President Josiah Bartlet played by the amazing Martin Sheen, quoting the First Commandment in the last minutes of the Pilot episode of he greatest show of all time.

I think that Veronica Mars was given the axe way too soon and deserved more of a chance. Veronica and Logan are probably one of the most complex couples to ever grace the small screen due to the amazing talents of Mr. Thomas and acting skills of Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring. This little show was sadly underrated and I will be the first in line if it's ever made into a movie.

That said, I am not anti reality. I will watch re runs of So You Think You Can Dance until I've got the moves memorized. American Idol drives me to tears nearly ever results show. And I will always have a soft spot for George Stephanopolus and anything he is on because he will always remind me of Sam.

But none of this means I don't like books, in fact just the opposite. There's not a surface in my room that's not covered... TV, shelves, tables, desk, floor... I've got a pile three feet high of the unread and lists and lists of books I will one day buy. The Secret History by Donna Tartt is my favorite. I read somewhere not too long ago that there are talks to make it into a movie. I would die if that happened. One day I hope to write a spec script around that book, if I can't come up with an idea of my own so a part of me almost hopes that that doesn't happen. I've read a lot of Chuck Palahniuk although I'm pretty much over him since Haunted. John Grisham is always a safe bet for a good story. As cliche as it is, I'm a fan of Dan Brown and was enchanted by The DaVinci Code. Harry Potter was one of the most amazing things to ever happen to the literary world. JK Rowling is a god in my eyes. Nick Hornby makes me smile. I used to carry The Catcher in The Rye around with me in my purse for when I got bored. Everyone should read A Series Of Unfortunate Events. One day I plan on writing a book of my own.

There you have it folks, a glimpse into my strange little world. Now back to your regularly scheduled programing.

THE OSCARS

Okay... so I couldn't start this post off without mentioning how much I love Jon Stewart and while some people were not happy to see him hosting the Oscars, I'm SUPER excited because I think he's pretty great. I'm one of the small percentage of people who really enjoys the political commentary and jokes so really, his monologue is kinda the best thing ever.

And if you love Jon Stewart as I do, watch him in Playing By Heart, he's really quite sweet.

I am not going to comment on every award. Just the ones I deem fit, but I will most likely comment on the little 80th anniversary snippets because most of the time, I'm probably going to think that they're great. I will probably, quite frequently comment on how much I hate commercials. Which is ironic seeing how I work in advertising.

I hate to mention it again, but I LOVE GEORGE CLOONEY.
Sorry, but I do.
Also, if I never hear the song "My Heart Will Go On" ever again, it will be too soon.

It's worth noting as well that I find the animated film Surf's Up to be absolutely terrifying.

I'm not sure if I shared this at all tonight, but I pretty much hate Cate Blanchett and if she wins I will actually be upset. I am super happy though that Sweeny Todd won the category that she was announcing. That movie was fabulous and I wish Johnny Depp all the luck in the world.

I know that the Oscars are always super long and its kinda annoying for everyone involved and usually I want to pass out pretty hardcore by the time they're over, but I hate so much when these poor people are being rushed off the stage because of some stupid time limit... give them their moments and leave them alone.

They just showed when Cuba Gooding Jr won and I have to say he was pretty damn adorable. I need to watch Jerry Maguire soon. I really want little Casey Affleck to win best supporting actor. He probably won't, but that's what I want. Phillip Seymour Hoffman just reminded me that I really need to see Charlie Wilson's War and that I've been slacking on my Aaron Sorkin love. And I'd like to also point out that its really cute when winners thank their mom's in their speeches, 'cause I'd so thank mine.

I really wanted to see August Rush, still do, and I have to say that the performance for best song "Raise It Up" was amazing, I would love to see that song win just because the presentation was so powerful.

I have to say I'm pretty stoked Cate Blanchett didn't win the first one she was nominated for.

So Ellen Page didn't win. And I'm kinda sad about that. But she's young and there will be other awards for her I'm sure. And I'm almost positive that she won the Independent Spirit Award, although I'm not positive because I haven't gotten around to watching my Spirit awards on my DVR yet. Anyway, Marion Cotillard did win and I really like her and she was absolutely adorable on stage, so good for her.

"Falling Slowly" is a pretty song too. I just thought I'd point that out.

The Oscars just gave a shout out to imdb... that's kinda amazing.

And on a completely unrelated note, I just has some chips and bison dip and now i have some really icky acid reflux... ew.

It's reassuring that at 11:09 there's still no end in sight for this years Oscars. I mean really, I guess it wouldn't be the Oscars if it wasn't a 4 hour show. I just kinda wish they'd get on with it already, I'm pretty much ready for bed.

And can I just point out that apparently this year the color is RED because about half of the attendees of this years academy awards are in bright red. I pretty much love it.

I still haven't seen Sicko. It'll probably be interesting if Michael Moore wins another Oscar. I kinda think its a good thing that he didn't, because he's already won one, but also because sometimes he can get kinda righteous and I'm just not feeling that right now.

OH MY GOD I'M SO READY TO GO TO BED.

It's important to note that I've moved this whole blogging operation from my favorite chair in the living room to my bed in my bed room in favor of, picking out clothes for work tomorrow, putting away laundry and straightening my hair. Also, because there's a good chance I will be asleep before the best picture award is awarded.

That said, I am SUPER happy for Diablo Cody who just one an Oscar for best original screenplay, as I predicted. My favorite movie, won my favorite category so that makes me pretty happy. I have hope that Juno will win the best picture award, but it's probably not going to happen so I kinda feel a little bit better about falling asleep before the show's over, if I do, because at least Juno won something. I'm almost positive though that there are only 3 more awards left... best director, best actor, best picture... I hope. Maybe it'll be over by 12 and this years show will only be 3 1/2 hours.

Ok, so I keep saying that I hate people. But I really do hate Helen Mirren. I really do wish that George Clooney or Johnny Depp would win for best actor but up against crazy method actor Daniel Day Lewis I just can't imagine that being the case. And let me tell you, I could write an entire post about how hot Viggo Mortensen was in The Lord Of The Rings
and how NOT HOT he's been since then... I just don't understand.

HAHA and they were definitely playing the wrong sound feed just a few minutes ago and it was pretty funny... I'm assuming it was the press room or maybe even the control room... either way it was amazing.
And at 11:50 the SHOW IS OVER.No big surprises, no best picture nod for Juno so I'm off to bed. Until next year...

Thank GOD The Writers Strike Is Over...

...and the Oscars will go on!

Oh the excitement, the fashion, the 4 hour long ceremony! Woo hoo. The E! preshow has begun. Ryan Seacrest is already annoying the shit out of me and I am going to comment just as much, if not more, on the arrivals as I did during the SAG awards.

Third to the Golden Globes and Emmy's (because lets face it, TV is kinda better than the movies when it comes to nominations... I mean usually the Oscars nominate a bunch of people that on one's ever heard of) the Oscars are my favorite and since the Golden Globes didn't happen this year and the Emmy's aren't until September, this is the most excited I've been about an awards show in a while. I mean I was excited for the SAG awards but the Oscars... I've just got one thing to say... GO JUNO. Although it would be wonderful for Juno to win best picture and for Ellen Page to win best actress, I'm pretty sure that the only award that Juno will be taking home is for best original screenplay, which is fine by me because that actually happens to be my favorite category!

And so I've decided, this is going to be another one of those marathon posts, dedicated to the red carpet and then of course I'll start another one once the actual show starts.

First and foremost, I'd like to say that Kimora Lee Simsons is a bitch. There's really not much more to say. And shes really not an expert on anything, so I think that she should just shut up and get off of my television.

It's also worth noting that I hate Jillian Barberi whatever her married name is. She's super annoying and is pretending to be a meteorologist which is super lame. But I do love George Clooney. I love, love, love him. I don't understand how he continues to get better looking as gets older.

Yanno who else I love, Steve Carell. He's kinda the best.

And Anne Hathaway looks beautiful. She's so classic. I love that.

Something really funny just happened between Gary Busey and Ryan Seacrest, which was pretty hysterical. And i love Jonah Hill and Seth Rogan. And as hard as I may try to not like Miley Cyrus, I do. I really hope her parents do a good job with her and she doesn't turn into Lindsay Lohan, because it can happen so easily and it'd be really sad for her to be a scum bag like Lindsay is.

Also, its really hard not to like Diddy. I really don't know why... it just is.

And Jennifer Hudson looks adorable, I'm really proud of her.

And I totally love Marion Cotillard, I have for a while now. Ever since I saw her in Love Me If You Dare. I heart that movie.

Simon Cowell, I believe, once said that the most amazing thing he has found while living in America is that American's have this amazing capacity to get excited for other people. That he's never seen a country that gets so happy to see other people succeed and I think that that's kinda why I enjoy the Oscars so much. I mean, my desire to one day be up there myself, is a huge part of it as well, but I really do feel excited for the people I am watching on the stage living their dream. As usual, Simon's right.

There's a half an hour of the red carpet left, we've officially switched to the ABC red carpet show which means in just half an hour the show will begin. And I can't wait!

I was going to stop commenting here and move on to my next post but really I have to make a comment about how irritating I find Samantha Harris. I think a lot of it has to do with her stint on Dancing With The Stars and how annoyed I am with that show most of the time, but also, I think, and I know that this is ridiculous, that her hair and how its awfully parted in the complete wrong spot and that really bothers me.

I also find it really amusing that the people interviewing the stars can't hear the stars and vice versa because of the yelling... it's pretty classic.

I want to hate Laura Linney. I really do. But then I see her do interviews and I just... she seems so humble, gr. And um... really could Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan look anymore alike?
Sorry, I just felt like I needed to bring that up. Moving on... the ceremony is going to start in 10 minutes and I need to do laundry so I'm gonna move on to the next post... YAY!

The Random Things Blog - Volume 5

So everyone should be watching the new MTV show America's Best Dance Crew because it is amazing. These guys are going to win...

More because I said they are than anything else. It really is a good show and it has shane sparks, who is pretty much awesome so everyone should watch it because shows with dancing are the best ever.

The Random Things Blog - Volume 4

So this post is dedicated to the late, great, Heath Ledger.

I was going to search the internet high and low, looking for a picture of him to include in here because I'm on this new picture kick but really, Making the Band is on and I just don't have the patience. Because the thing is, I couldn't just post any old pictures, I would need it to be a good picture and so I'm sure I'd be looking for a while and then before I knew it, Making the Band would be over and I'd be exhausted and completely ready for bed.

Which is pretty much going to happen in about 10 minutes. So to Heath Ledger, a star taken before his time, may he rest in peace. We had our Ten Things I Hate About You Memorial and will continue to mourn until the next Batman movie (can't wait - I heart Christopher Nolan movies) comes out. Heath, you will be missed.

The Random Things Blog - Volume 3

So, since I'm a pretty big asshole I have decided that this year my New Years Resolution, is going to be to purchase more shoes. YAY! Really this is a win win (win) situation all around. I win because I get to buy things. The economy wins because I am spending my money and my closet (or under my desk at work) wins because I will have MORE SHOES. I have already purchased these...
and these...
and these...

shoes = love.

The Random Things Blog - Volume 2

Kate Walsh's new hair color is fantastic. So fantastic that I felt the need to dye my own luscious locks a couple shades darker. I love dark hair in the winter. I used to be the kind of girl who could pull off seriously blond highlights but now I just don't have the time or patience for roots so lately I've been sticking with colors that, when they fade out, don't look so bad. My color, and maybe someday I'll have a picture, is very similar, although less red-ish... at least I think. Anyway, yay Kate Walsh... now come back to Grey's and have your way with McSteamy!

As Promised... The Random Things Blog - Volume 1

So I've decided to blog about the things I said I'd "blog about soon" in volumes, citing an individual volume for each topic I noted I would blog about, in case I feel the need to go off on a tangent. The first order of business is Heidi Montag's long awaited(?) music video for "Higher."

I admit I did not make it all the way through. It was just... awful. The voice, the person, the beach, the movement everything was just... well read through the comments, you'll get the gist.

I wish she would stop trying to get into music. There's a reason she never had the opportunity before. It's because shes not good. It actually pains me to watch. Apparently her second video is going to be like nothing the world has seen before. So says Heidi's tart boyfriend Spencer. He's probably one of the most unattractive people I've ever seen in my life. Not that that should make me hate him, but it does. I hate him for many other reasons as well but I'm not going to get into them right now. Right now, I am going to upload this post and move on.

Maybe I'll even do my job or something... haha right.
