Screen Actors Guild Awards - SHOW TIME

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that this awards show is actually happening. I love awards shows so much... really... it's pretty sad but still... I'm super excited to be watching tonight anyway. And now I shall comment for the next couple of hours and it'll be fantastic. Thank you WGA for giving the SAG's a wavier.

First off, I have to say that the messy look agrees with Michael C Hall. And I hate James Spader but love James Gandolfini who won the SAG for Actor in a Drama. Gotta say, it was well deserved.

Edie Falco also deserved her win - regardless what people might say or think. In my opinion anything Soprano's related should win tonight since it was probably one of the best television shows on the air ever and its done and it deserves it.

p.s. a mastercard commercial almost brought me to tears... jesus christ i am a sucker for violin music

I have lots of opinions about the Drama category. I think that it's hard to NOT give the award to Grey's Anatomy... especially considering all that happened last year but The Soprano's was so iconic...I guess I don't care who gets the award as long as its not Boston Legal. Because while I love David E Kelly. I HATE James Spader and William Shatner. AND WHY IS JUSTIN CHAMBERS WEARING SUNGLASSES??? We all should probably be watching Mad Men... but yay for The Sopranos.

I honestly have no opinion for the Best Actor category... although I kinda heart Casey Affleck so... well whatever.

I also really have no opinion for the Best Actress in a Comedy category so I'm okay with Tina Fey winning even though I hate her show.

I do on the other hand want to see either Jeremy Piven or Steve Carell win because they both deserve it more than the others, because I like them more. Who I absolutely under no circumstances wanted to see win was Alec Baldwin and he did so now I'm angry.

As for cast in a Comedy series... we all know I want to see The Office win more than anything. If 30 Rock wins... I may consider changing the channel... I just can't get that show. I don't know what it is. It's kinda like how I can't stand Seinfeld. But I would not be sad if the cast of Entourage won because like I said before... I love those boys. I do really enjoy how they cut to The Office cast and John and Jenna and BJ were all sitting next to each other in that order. Things like that make me smile. I'm a simple girl when it comes to my celebrities. And YAY The Office!!!!!!!! I love love love them. They're all so cute together! I love Jenna, and John, and Rainn, and Steve, and BJ, and Mindy, and Angela, and Brian, and Leslie, and Kate, and Creed, and Oscar, and Phillys and Melora, and Paul, and Ed, and Craig and I know that there's more of a supporting cast and they're great too so YAY.

ok, so I'm not going to lie. I pretty much stopped totally caring after this point in time but I will say that either Ellen Page or Angelina Jolie should have won for best actress. Ellen Page because Juno was amazing and Angelina Jolie because if you say A Mighty Heart you would agree. Actually I would have been okay with anyone winning other than Julie Christie, who actually did win. I actually also really like Marion Cotillard she was in one of my all time favorites - Love Me If You Dare. It's French and Fantastic - rent it.

Anyway nothing else too exciting happened as far as I'm concerned, I will say this though. Other awards shows should take the lead from the SAG and do what they do a nice little neat package of an awards show - 2 hours and no bullshit. LOVE IT.

Screen Actors Guild Awards - Red Carpet

FINALLY! An awards show for me to watch and talk about. Words cannot express my excitement over this. Stay tuned for comments about pretty much everything. I have already drooled over Adrian Grenier more than once, even though he needs to shave. And seen Chandra Wilson who plays one of the most amazing characters on television ever.

I can't decide if I want to keep this open and keep commenting or if I should keep posting random posts here and there... chances are that will get out of hand so maybe we'll call this the red carpet post.

Okay here goes...

YAY Jenna Fischer! Words cannot express how much I love her (in that non sexual sort of way) she got totally robbed in September and didn't win and Emmy which made me SUPER sad because Pam Beesley - also one of the best characters on television. Shes such a sweetheart right down to her myspace page. She of course looked absolutely adorable in her dress and if there were pictures posted immediately online of stars as they arrived at the golden globes... or if my computer was hooked to cable television - which could happen but not right now - i would so snag a pic. Anywho - we'll wait for the next arrival.

P.S. am I the only one who doesn't like Ugly Betty?

Do you hate me for consistently linking to IMDB? its kinda the best website ever. I'd be completely lost without it.

Tina Fey who I love when she's not on her show 30 Rock - because I kinda despise that show - looks absolutely adorable.

And even though The Office would not exist without Ricky Gervais - I kinda hate him.

An even thought I used to like Eva Longoria (Parker) I kinda hate her now too.

I should note that I also love Ellen Pompeo and am very happy that her dress doesn't suck this year.


I LOVE JOHN KRASINSKI AND BJ NOVAK!!!!!! I just thought I'd point that out because they're on my TV right now and I may be in heaven. I also wish that BJ would shave his beard. And that E! would stop showing John Larroquette and show John and BJ!

Also a big Ellen Page fan. GO SEE JUNO.

I'm really super curious... where are my Heroes??? I mean come on if Ashley Tisdale can be at the SAG awards why can't Milo???

And um... Eric Dane is pretty hot.

Also - I really love me some boys from Entourage... especially Kevin Connolly who really would be the perfect height for me.

James Marsden is such a cutie! I have loved him since Second Noah.

I'm not gonna lie... Zac Effron's pretty adorable. I've officially given up trying to fight the urge to call him cute.

Another Completely Obnoxious Post About The West Wing

So last night I wanted to go to bed around eleven. This is usually quite the pipe dream but I was tired, from being awake a little longer than I wanted to on Sunday night so I figured I'd at least give it a shot. So, because I have issues with falling asleep without the TV on, I popped in the next DVD that was in line in my West Wing collection (as a side note, I have been working through all of the series' I have on DVD and am at the end of the 4th season of the West Wing currently... there are seven seasons) and began to watch/get ready to fall asleep. Now, it is important to note that The West Wing is good. Great even. The best show ever so I wasn't putting it on in order to put me to sleep, I was putting it on because I have issues falling asleep unless something that I would actually watch if I was awake and trying to find something to watch on TV. The problem I had last night is that The West Wing - particularly the 4th season, particularly the last couple of episodes is SO good that I actually watched all three episodes that were on the last disc of season 4 because I have major issues! You just don't understand, really, the 4th season of The West Wing was probably the best season of television ever written and acted. The cast is so talented, the writing is so amazing the character development is just... can't even put it into words, but I felt like I needed to post about it.

And now I'm going to watch American Idol... woo hoo.

If you are running for President and you don't win the Iowa Caucus but you do win the New Hampshire primary why is the win in New Hampshire considered a comeback. I mean, its not like you've been down for a while and this is now the biggest thing that has happened in the election. It just means that instead of picking up 6 points you've picked up 9 and now you have a real race... yanno I honestly think no matter how much I read and no matter how much I listen I'm never going to understand this circus...

The Disappearing Red Carpet

So I'm super disappointed that because of the writers strike there will be no traditional Golden Globes and red carpet this year. Now don't get me wrong, I support the writers 100% I believe that they should continue to strike until then get what they are asking for because the networks are being ridiculous, but still it makes me sad that one of my absolutely favorite awards shows isn't going on be on this year because an agreement can't be made.

That said, the lack of traditional Golden Globes ceremony is not going to stop me from watching the presentation press conference and making all sorts of comments.

My New Years Resolution...

because I'm a HUGE asshole and don't really believe in new years resolutions... is to buy more shoes. I feel like my purchasing of shoes in 2007 did not measure up to my usual purchasing power and so I vow to spend more money on the betterment of my fashion :o)

Decision '08

I'm super excited about this whole election thing starting... go ahead call me a dork. But first let me get up on the soapbox for just a moment.

If you are 18 or over and live in the united states do yourself a favor, go register to vote. And then instead of pleading ignorance, educate yourself about the candidates when November rolls around and make the conscious decision to try to make our world a better place.

That will be all.

I want Rami to win Project Runway. Him or Kevin. Definitely one of the two.

Mindy's pretty much my hero.

I might be a little bored...

and so I have decided to post about a post that I will eventually be posting. It's going to be a completely random list of celebrities, tv shows, movies, songs, and other frivolous things and why I like them.

It will probably come right around the time of the Golden Globes (which is in two weeks) because I will be watching about a half dozen hours of red carpet coverage and gushing about how much I love certain celebs.

It's going to be great.

This, my friends, is the reason that I started a blog.

Also, I am going to post a blog with more reasons why you should get netflix. And then I will follow that post up with a post about why you should rent The West Wing, Veronica Mars, and The Office.
